WATER BALANCE & STANDARDS
The Langelier Saturation Index (LSI) is the standard measure of water balance. When water becomes oversaturated with calcium carbonate (LSI above zero), it is prone to scaling. This scaling can clog pipes, filters, and equipment while creating rough, unsafe surfaces.
